Good afternoon to all!
Playing with fingers is a simple and fun game, which is applicable in any place and situation. At home, park, car, travel, kindergarten…
All of these places are a good opportunity to play with your fingers. This game does not take much time and does not have a special device. The principle of playing with fingers is not an idea of my own. It is a tradition in Iran and other countries for a far long time in the past, although it has been forgotten nowadays. I tried to wear a new outfit to this game. Below, let me tell you about the benefits of this simple game;
1. Dissemination of listening skills, which is one of the basic needs of children.
2. Storytelling is an important factor in enhancing children’s listening skills.
3. Poems introduce children to rhythm.
4. The rhythmic performance of the games harmonizes the brain and hands.
5. Repetition of stories fosters the power of memory and imitation, which is the prelude to fostering creativity.
6. The multiplicity and variety of fingers allow each finger to play a different character. Also, during the game, children are introduced to different concepts such as numbers, order, large and small, up and down and…
Of course You don’t have to paint the characters as it is shown in the video, you can just paint the faces of the characters with a simple magic on your fingers.
I hope you enjoy watching the video??
Special thanks to my good friend Chrysanthi Panagiotidou for telling the story in Greek ?
Playing with fingers is a simple and fun game.
