Since the end of March, volunteers from YMCA-Thessaloniki and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) have joined forces in order to offer some moments of joy and happiness to the children staying in the hosting center of Diavata.

Deploying all their skills and knowledge in non formal learning and creative expression games, 15-20 volunteers visit the center twice per week to play with the kids and make them forget – even for a couple of hours – the traumatic experiences of the past.

This action is part of the initiative of the municipality of Thessaloniki regarding the creative engagement of the more than 800 children who stay in Diavata center.
