It has been almost a year since the first boats with hundreds of people, started to reach the shores of Greek islands, such as Lesvos and Chios. After the first shock, the country began to deal with the crisis which has emerged. Refugee centers have been created around Greece, and mostly in its northern part, where people manage to live under affordable conditions. But still, more than 10.000 refugees are stranded in Idomeni waiting for the borders to open. According to the press, one of the government’s priority is to gradually evacuate Idomeni’s camp starting as fast as possible. Citizens and solidarity networks continue their work trying to support refugees during their stay in the country.
