Ten high school students of Anatolia College, members of the Caring Makers Club with counselor Professor Elsa Exintaveloni, wanted to support refugee women who have experienced and are experiencing difficult situations and are trying to integrate into Greek society. With the help of the school community and the kind sponsorship of Tzimas Cosmetics, they have been able to raise personal care items and create gifts for women in need.

On April 20, the team from Anatolia visited the YMCA Thessaloniki and delivered 15 gift packages for the women participating in the HELIOS program. The HELIOS program is funded by the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum and is implemented under the supervision of the International Organization for Migration. The YMCA Thessaloniki has been a partner of the program since 2019, and in this context has set up a Center for Integration and Refugee Education, which provides Greek courses and integration support services to recognized refugees.

The beneficiaries of the program received the cosmetics and care packages with great enthusiasm.

As YMCA Thessaloniki we want to congratulate and warmly thank the students and their teacher for the beautiful initiative.
