On Saturday, September 30, the YMCA-Th facilities witnessed an extraordinary event within the framework of European Sports Week. On this occasion, children from different origins, including refugees from different countries (including Ukraine), came together to enjoy an afternoon full of sport and fun.
Football and basketball were the stars of the day, as the participating children had the opportunity to play together, breaking down barriers and creating bonds of friendship through sport. The activity not only promoted physical activity, but also integration and social inclusion.
To replenish energy, WAVE Thessaloniki prepared the delicious sandwiches that were offered to all participants. This gesture of solidarity not only nourished their bodies, but also symbolized the importance of collaboration and mutual support in our community.
At the end of the event, participation certificates were given to each of the children, recognizing their enthusiasm and commitment during the day. These certificates not only represent a personal achievement, but also a reminder of the importance of inclusion and respect for others.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the volunteers who contributed to the organization of this event. Their dedication and effort made it possible for the children to enjoy an unforgettable experience, full of joy and camaraderie.
Finally, we want to thank the Arsakeio school for its support and enthusiastic participation in this event.
The event was organized by The United Balkan Societies and AMNA in collaboration with YMCA Thessaloniki. and the support of YMCA Europe (Brotherhood of Cultures Program).
