On a sunny Sunday, the YMCA in Thessaloniki hosted a truly remarkable event that brought together 50 people from different backgrounds, including several Ukrainian families. The day was filled with a perfect blend of art, fun and collaboration, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

Under the guidance of the talented artist Foteinh Mouratidou, the children had the opportunity to unleash their creativity and create all together a beautiful and big cubist painting with the assistance of their parents and dedicated volunteers.

Children and adults enjoyed the catering provided, that not only satisfied their hunger but also helped them recharge their batteries. The food was filling and energizing, giving them the fuel needed to continue enjoying the event and making memories.

Adding to the joyous atmosphere, the event also saw the distribution of metallic bottles sponsored by the Veluda company. These thoughtful gifts were greatly appreciated by all attendees and served as a reminder of the support and generosity within our community.

The event was possible thanks to the collaborative efforts of the YMCA Thessaloniki’s “together as a family” program and the Brotherhood of Cultures program, funded by YMCA Europe and the implemented by YMCA Thessaloniki.

The event was a testament to the power of art in bridging differences and creating unforgettable moments.  It showcased the beauty of cultural exchange and reminded us of the importance of fostering an inclusive and supportive community.
