On Saturday, 22 November 2025, the jewelry-making workshop was held with great success at the HELIOS+ center of YMCA Thessaloniki (Χ.Α.Ν.Θ.), in collaboration with NAOMI – Ecumenical Workshop for Refugees of Thessaloniki.
Beneficiaries of the program and members of the local community came together in a space of creativity, exchange, and collaboration. Using materials such as fabric and recycled elements, participants created unique pieces of jewelry, discovering new techniques, sharing personal stories, and expressing their culture and imagination.

At the end of the workshop, each person took home a handmade piece of jewelry — or exchanged it with another participant — as a symbol of the new bonds formed during the activity. Participants shared that they felt increased self-confidence, joy through collective creation, and a deeper understanding of the diverse cultures that coexist within our community.

This activity was part of the social cohesion pillar of the HELIOS+ program, which includes initiatives that promote empowerment, inclusion, and meaningful connection through collaboration and shared experience.

The Helios+ Project+ project is implemented in cooperation with IOM Greece and funded by ΕΣΠΑ through ΕΥΣΥΔ – ΜΕΥ of Ministry of Migration and Asylum (Υπουργείο Μετανάστευσης & Ασύλου) and with the co-financing of the European Union.
