I also want to share my thoughts about our visit to Diavata camp.
The weather was really good and we found the children already playing outside when we arrived.
We taught them how to form lines in order to take one color pencil at a time during painting hours. They quickly learned the process and they started giving out one pencil to take another one. We also did face painting, which got the kids super excited!
My only consideration is how to make them stop throwing stones one at each other when they fight or get angry. It makes me really sad watching them hitting each other. At the same time, it makes me really happy watching them feeling like home and accepting us so warmly.
Finally, I couldn’t hold myself and I took the picture of one little girl wearing a red dress. She was like a princess. This kind of moments make me feel complete and stay in my mind.
Best,
Maria
